The City is working with the property owner/manager to resolve the issues related to parking and the blocking of Milton Avenue that have been occurring. The hotel has made changes to its valet operation that have improved the safety and traffic issues on Milton Avenue, and they are addressing issues such as parking on the sidewalk with their employees.
Unfortunately, we do continue to see individual patrons of restaurants and businesses in and near the hotel improperly park their own vehicles. This is not something that hotel management can effectively address.
Our Department of Public Safety is aware of this issue and is trying to increase parking enforcement activities when officers are not assigned to other higher priority calls.
