Description

Someone has pitched and is living in a tent near a trailhead entrance to Dimond Park. It is located off of El Centro Ave., as you are coming from Park Blvd. towards the Dimond Rec Center. It is on the right side of the road, across the street from the Sausal Creek trail head, right next to a main pathway that goes into Dimond Park and the kids play area. As a parent of an elementary school-aged child who frequently plays at the park, I do NOT feel safe with my child and other children in the park with this encampment. Moveover, I understand overnight camping in Oakland Parks is illegal. Can you please address this issue ASAP. Thank you.
